Day 3 - Shinjuku

The day started off well, we woke up around the same time the alarm clock went off, we set off around 9.30am in search for some breakfast, here we are some 7,000 miles from home and what do we get for breakfast? A McDonald's!?! Although to their credit they do serve a pretty meaty breakfast, for 480yen I got this beast!

We set sail to Shinjuku, which took about 40 minutes via train to access, I was suppose to be meeting up with a friend in Shinjuku, but that was a no-goer, through no real fault of any ones though, as it was never 100% set in stone. Hopefully I get to meet the one they call Aaron Ayling the day we go to Mitaka. Anyway once we navigated our way out of the maze that is Shinjuku station (one of the busiest/largest stations in the world) we made our way towards the skyscraper district.

Ask anyone who has been to Shinjuku, they'd tell you the skyscraper district is a phenomenal site to see, especially up on the 45th floor of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building's viewing platform, which can lead to some spectacular shots on a good day, I took some lovely pictures, but the weather was miserable, and didn't really get any clear shots of Fuji-San, no worries!

We left the tower to head back towards the main shopping area of Shinjuku, here you'll find various stores, mainly clothing department stores and Pachinko parlours.

We spent ages looking for a decent tempura restaurant, but gave up after realising we had done a circle of the main eatery area, we ended up eating at a place called "Ringer Hut" which basically was a noodle bar, I had a bowl of noodles with various meats and veg, Dan chose a cold noodle dish with a soy sauce dip, mine wasn't bad, a bit too much in quantity to be honest, whereas Dan loved his!
